Mum influencer poll reveals no concerns about Musk
A quick straw poll amongst mum influencers on the ParentStars platform has revealed that the recent Musk stink at Twitter has not been a major concern to them.
This is largely because 71% of mum influencers polled don’t use Twitter at all anyway. And only 7% said they had considered quitting Twitter recently in protest at the world’s richest man sacking half of his new employees.
Data released in early 2022 suggests the current baby boomers of Generation X are not interested in TikTok either with only 2% over the age of 35 using that channel.
That’s not to say that mum influencers don’t do video – far from it, they just don’t usually film themselves lip syncing to Drake!
So where do all the mum and dad influencers hang out?
Well that would be Instagram whose participation sweetspot is 25-34 year old females (graphic below).
This certainly bears out our experience at ParentStars. Instagram is the home of mum and dad influencers and a clear leader in terms of branded IGC (Influencer Generated Content)- in both video and photo formats.
Watch out for our upcoming case study on a children’s bicycle brand – where our parent influencers created over 300 pieces of high quality branded content for use on their website, social channels and in their advertising.
